UpRoar Studio (“we”, “us”) is a creative studio based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and this website is www.uproar.studio. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@uproar.studio — a human replies.
Information we collect
Contact enquiries. When you use the form on our Contact page we ask for your name, where you work, your email address, the services you’re interested in, your budget range, and anything you choose to tell us about your project. The form includes a hidden spam trap and a security token — these collect nothing about you.
Technical data. Like almost every website, our servers log basic technical details (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) to keep the site secure and running fast. Our page cache keeps temporary copies of public pages so they load quickly — it stores nothing personal about visitors.
Cookies. We use only the cookies needed to operate the site — for example, to keep a logged-in staff session working or to validate a form submission. We run no advertising trackers, and we don’t sell or share your browsing behaviour with ad networks.
How we use it
- Reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote or proposal.
- Run, secure, and improve this website.
- Keep a record of project conversations we’ve had with you.
- Meet our legal obligations.
That’s the whole list. We never sell your personal data, and contacting us doesn’t subscribe you to any marketing list — if you email us, you get a reply, not a newsletter.
Where it lives
Enquiries are stored in two places: our email inbox (hello@uproar.studio) and the private dashboard of this website, which only our team can access. Both run with reputable hosting and email providers. We don’t hand your data to advertisers or data brokers, full stop.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months so we can pick up a conversation where it left off, then we delete them. Server logs rotate much sooner. Want your details gone earlier? Just ask (see “Your rights” below).
Your rights
Under Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act (No. 9 of 2022) — and, where it applies to you, laws like the EU’s GDPR — you can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@uproar.studio and we’ll respond within 14 days.
Security
This site runs over HTTPS, staff accounts are protected with strong logins, and every form submission is validated before anything is stored. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable technical steps to keep your data safe — and if something ever goes wrong, we’ll tell you promptly.
Children
This site isn’t aimed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page if our practices change, and the “last updated” date at the top will always show when that happened. Keep using the site after a change and we’ll take that as you’re happy with the new version.
